Description

The thesis will be prepared in one of the network’s laboratories on a topic related to one or several of the following fields:

The applicants

They must have contacted one of the laboratories of the network and be able to propose a research project built in agreement with the chosen supervisor. The proposition of a research project which involves more than one of the 33 labs of the network would fully fit the networking strategy at the core of the Foundation and would have a greater chance of being selected.

The salary (variable according to the hosting laboratory) will be covered for 36 months, including healthcare insurance (income tax not deduced).

How to apply

1. Download the PhD program application form
2. Save as PDF each document: Application form / CV / exam results / diplomas….
3. Merge all these PDFs intoONE single .PDF fileand send it tofondation.direction@fondation-nanosciences.frbyMonday, 10 April 2017- 11.59 am CET.
4. You must request (at least) two recommendation letters based on the template included at the end of the application form (section F). These letters must be sent by your referee himself/herself directly to fondation.direction@fondation-nanosciences.fr.

The applications must be submitted beforeMonday, 10 April 2017- 11.59 am CET.

Your application will be acknowledged within five working days.

Selection procedure

➜After verifying its eligibility, each application is submitted to 2 independent reviewers

➜2017, May 3:A Steering Committee session is held in order to select the applicants to be invited for an audition in Grenoble, on the basis of the reviewer’s reports

All travel/accommodation expenses will be covered by the Nanosciences Foundation for 3 days/2 nights.

This would provide enough time to each applicant to visit their hosting laboratory and to finalise their oral presentation together with their future thesis supervisor
➜2017, June 8&9:Auditions are held in Grenoble, in front of the Steering Committee plus invited specialists.

Final results will be announced a few days later
